Being Agents of Change

At Stapeley Broad Lane CE Primary, we are dedicated to empowering our children to be courageous agents of change to make a positive difference. We inspire our students to develop a strong sense of social justice, encouraging them to speak up for what is right and to take action with confidence and compassion. Through a broad and balanced curriculum, alongside opportunities for leadership and community involvement, we nurture their ability to challenge inequality, stand up for others, and make a meaningful impact in the world. Our goal is to equip every child with the knowledge, skills, and moral courage to become responsible, thoughtful advocates for a brighter future.

We celebrated Eco Day to help protect the environment. Everyone wore green clothes to show support for nature and the planet. Pupils and teachers also donated money to help plant trees in the UK and across the World. Planting trees is important because they provide oxygen, reduce pollution, and create habitats for wildlife. Eco Day was a fun and meaningful event that encouraged everyone to care for the environment.

Stapeley Broad Lane Pupils Help Police Deliver Powerful Road Safety Message in Nantwich

Children from Stapeley Broad Lane Primary School joined local police officers this week to deliver a memorable road safety campaign as part of the #TheKidsAreWatching initiative in Nantwich.

On Wednesday, 20th, PC Millie Smith led a team of officers carrying out speed checks outside the school, taking a unique and educational approach to enforcement. Instead of receiving traditional penalties, drivers found exceeding the speed limit were given the opportunity to hear directly from the pupils about the importance of safe driving.

A total of 10 drivers were stopped during the operation, with each one engaging in conversations with the children about their driving. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many motorists saying the experience would have a lasting impact. Drivers said that hearing firsthand from young people would make them more conscious of their speed and encourage them to drive more carefully in the future.

The pupils approached the initiative with enthusiasm and determination, asking thoughtful questions and clearly communicating the importance of road safety outside their school. Their involvement turned the event into a powerful learning experience for both the children and the drivers.

The initiative was a huge success, with pupils being 'true agents of change' in promoting safer driving habits and keeping our community safe for all.
