SPRING TERM:
Please see the attached Long Term Plan (in the files section), which details which areas we will be learning about in each subject.
PE - First Half-term: Netball (outdoor) and Dance (indoor). 2nd half-term: Gymnastics (indoor) and Hockey (outdoor) PE lessons are normally on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon.
Music – Wednesdays: Wider Opportunities B flat group, with Mrs McDonald and Mrs Acklam
Homework:
Reading, Spellings and TT Rockstars.
Other homework given as required.
When written Homework is sent, it will be sent home in a homework folder on a Friday, to be returned to school by the following Wednesday.
Spellings:
Children will revise their spellings from earlier years at the beginning of the school year and then continue to work on the Year 3/4 statutory word list. This list is in planners and also below in the files section. If, towards the end of Year 4, your child has mastered the Y3/4 spellings, they will start to learn the Y5/6 spellings (also in the files section).
AUTUMN TERM:

PE - Tag Rugby and Sportshall Athletics. PE lesson on a Monday and Swimming lesson (Autumn term only) on Friday afternoons.

MEET THE TEACHER Meeting:
On Wednesday 13th September 2023, at 4.30pm, I will be hosting a meeting on Microsoft Teams. (Meeting link will be sent out nearer the time). During this meeting I will set out some general information about Class 4, routines and expectations. The meeting content and some other additional information will be set out in an Introduction to Class 4 letter will be sent home on Monday 11th September, and will also be posted below in electronic form before the meeting. The Powerpoint which I shared with parents at the meeting is also posted below. Many thanks to all those who attended.
