Christian Community
At Stapeley Broad Lane CE Primary School, we are guided by faith, nurturing hearts and minds.
‘As you go, step by step I will open up the way before you’ Proverbs 4:12
At our primary school, we are proud to nurture a warm and inclusive Christian community where every child is valued and supported. Our values of hope, fairness, wisdom, courage, compassion, respect, resilience, and trust guide everything we do, creating an environment where students grow both academically and spiritually. Through regular worship, reflection, and celebration of Christian traditions, we encourage a sense of belonging and a strong moral foundation. We work closely with our local church, fostering a spirit of togetherness that extends to families and the wider community, ensuring that all are welcome to share in our journey of faith and learning.
CHURCH LINKS
Stapeley Broad Lane has Church of England Controlled Status. This means the school functions in partnership with the Church, with its Christian ethos being central to the school. We teach the Local Authority's Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education. The school and its staff also receive valuable support from the Board of Education at the Diocese of Chester.
Worship at daily school assemblies is linked with the doctrines of the Church of England. As a Church of England school, emphasis is placed upon the acquisition of knowledge and understanding of the beliefs and practices of Christianity in particular, as well as other world religions. All pupils are encouraged to respect the beliefs and values of others and to express their own opinions in a thoughtful and reflective way.
ST CHAD'S CHURCH, WYBUNBURY
Rev Alison Fulford is the vicar at St Chad's Church. She works closely with us and regularly leads Collective Worship.
As a Church School, we are very proud of our links with St Chad's which, due to its location in Wybunbury, is not easily accessible from school. Please click here to access St Chad's website.
ST MARY'S CHURCH, NANTWICH
We also visit St Mary's Church in the centre of Nantwich for special school-specific services, including at Easter and Christmas. Our KS2 choir have performed at the NSPCC Carol Service for the past few years, supporting this charity to raise funds to continue it's important work, particularly in schools. Our Y2 children visit the church as part of their study of Nantwich. St Mary's is a very impressive building and well worth a visit. Please click here to access St Mary's website.
ETHOS TEAM
Each year, we invite two children from each class to join our Ethos Team. The Ethos Team support the delivery of Collective Worship and meets with the Spirituality Lead to discuss our school ethos. They have helped to develop and refresh our School Prayer, with the help and support of Reverend Fulford.
