COVID-19 Information Latest Update SUNday 22 March 20.45
School is now shut to virtually all pupils from Friday 20 March
This page will be updated as regularly as possible with information regarding the spread of coronavirus, and its impact on school.
The school will continue to refer to information published by the Department of Education, Public Health England and Cheshire East Council in relation to the current COVID-19 outbreak. As advised by the government, school will continue to operate for a few pupils so long as we have enough staff to do so safely.
Parents are advised to read the government's guidance on staying at home in the case of suspected coronavirus infection. This is based on the most significant symptoms of:
- new continuous cough, and/or
- high temperature (37.8°C)
If children develop either of these symptoms or they are present in a close family member (mum, dad or sibling) they should be kept at home for a period of 14 days from the onset of the symptoms. Full details are available here:
Public Health England advises that the most important thing individuals can do to protect themselves is to wash their hands more often, for at least 20 seconds, with soap and water. Public Health England recommends that in addition to handwashing before eating, and after coughing and sneezing, everyone should also wash hands after using toilets and travelling on public transport.
