PROPOSED EXPANSION OF STAPELEY BROAD LANE CofE PRIMARY SCHOOL
The consultation closed on Thursday 24th May 2018 and the governing body have considered the points raised. In conjunction with the Local Authority, a transport and traffic survey has been commissioned to advise both parties about possible measures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, pupils, parents, staff and visitors to the school. This work began in January 2019 and concluded in July 2019.
A small group of governors met with Local Authority advisers at the end of the summer term to share the outcomes from the transport assessment and revised pupil number projections. The discussions demonstrated that expanding the school would further impact the traffic and transport issues in the school's immediate local area. The projections suggested that there were sufficient spaces in local primary schools to meet demand for places.
