New Intake Information collated by Mrs Holden

A little tour by Mrs Holden...

Welcome to Stapeley Broad Lane!

Other information which may be useful includes:

Uniform

Our uniform policy is included in the welcome pack and information. Most of it is 'unbadged' and can be obtained from most supermarkets or children's clothing stores. The 'badged' items (sweatshirts, PE T-shirts and book bags) can be obtained from Schools In on Hospital Street in Nantwich. They also have a website where online orders can be placed (www.schoolsinuniform.co.uk). However, in the current circumstances the shop is closed and no new online orders are being taken. This situation may change in the near future and we will contact you with any news via e-mail. We are also investigating the opportunity to set up a 'pop up shop' here in school - again information will be sent if/when this can be arranged.

School meals

Pupils in Reception, Years 1 and 2 are entitled to a free school lunch under the government's Universal Free School Meals.  If you are eligible for certain tax credits and benefits, your child may be entitled to Free School Meals.  Your child will also access Pupil Premium Funding (£1,320 per year) to support their learning. Please see Cheshire East's website for further information.

An example of the school lunch menu can be found here. If your child has a food allergy or intolerance which has been diagnosed by a medical professional, please contact the school office for further information.

Term dates

A copy of the school term dates for 2020/21 can be found here. There are clear guidelines for taking holidays during term time and, as a school, we strongly discourage families from taking their children out of school for holidays.

Absence letters

We have two forms which we ask parents to complete if their child is likely to be absent from school. One is for planned appointments (eg medical appointments, music/dance examinations) and the other is for a holiday in term time where there are exceptional circumstances.
