Community

As a school we have links with various schools and organisations that form part of our wider school community. At the foot of this page are links to various art, music and sports events being held in and around Nantwich.

St Chad's Church, Wybunbury - Our school worship/assemblies in school are led by Rev Helen and the Open Book team. We also go to the Church for our KS2 Carol Service and our whole school Easter Service. Classes visit as part of their RE work.

Brine Leas School - This is where the largest proportion of our pupils move to for their secondary education. We are also linked with them through the NEP (Nantwich Education Partnership).

Another link with Brine Leas allows our Year 6 pupils the opportunity to take part in various transition activities over the school year, such as the New Generation project.

Nantwich Education Partnership (NEP) - This is a partnership of all 16 Nantwich primary and secondary schools who work together to the benefit of all pupils across the town.

Through a shared understanding and a determination to meet the educational needs of all pupils across the town, Headteachers, Governors and staff arrange various projects. The NEP also arranges a shared INSET day for the teaching staff in all 16 schools in February each year.

Boekenhout Primary School, Elderado Park, Johannesburg - We have linked up with Boekenhout through funding from the British Council which has allowed staff from both schools to visit and see the differences and similarities between the two Primaries and the cultural differences between the two countries.

Boekenhout has over 1200 pupils, with around 45 pupils per class. Quite a difference to our school!

MMU - We work with Manchester Metropolitan University in supporting their Initial Teacher Training programme, offering student placements in our school. Through mentoring and classroom experience we help shape the next generation of teachers.
